How it works at a terrace or rooftop

  1. You pick your terrace or a rooftop cafe and a time.

  2. We confirm access on WhatsApp, and with the cafe if it is one, before you pay.

  3. We set up while they are downstairs.

  4. You bring them up to lights, flowers and your letter.

Rules to know

  • Fairy lights need something to tie to: a railing, a pipe or a water tank stand. Tell us what your terrace has.
  • Open flames blow out in wind. Candle setups go in jars or covers. Tell us about wind at booking and we plan around it.
  • Your own terrace has no venue charge; we only need access. A rooftop cafe is easier if your roof is bare, but the cafe must agree to the setup and may charge up to ₹500 (passed at cost).
  • A rooftop cafe must agree to the setup; we ask before you pay. No cafe is confirmed yet.
  • Book about 24 hours ahead; up to 30 days ahead.
  • Go in daylight or early evening, stay in open, busy areas, and keep your phone charged. In Uttar Pradesh, police rules say couples in public places should not be questioned or asked for ID (UP DGP, 2017). If anyone harasses you, call 112, or 1090 (Women Power Line).
